Dany Franchi was born in Genoa (Italy) in 1990 and grew up with the guitar under his fingers, whose talent has given him the opportunity to live great musical experiences all over the world. He also won remarkable awards such as “Blues for Youth” in 2010, “Italian Blues River Award” and the “Italian Talent in the World” in 2016 awarded by his home city, Genoa. At the age of 21 Dany recorded his first album “Free Feeling” with his own band, the Dany Franchi Band, supported by great guests such as Guitar Ray (from Guitar Ray and The Gamblers), Francesco Piu, Paolo Bonfanti and Sean Carney, the American guitarist who won the International Blues Challenge in Memphis (TN) and the “Albert King Award” in 2007. “I Believe” is the second studio album recorded in 2014 in Cadiz, Ohio and produced by Sean Carney. The successful album earned a series of great reviews and Dany toured Europe promoting his project. In 2016 the Dany Franchi Band had the pleasure to represent the Italian Blues scene at the “International Blues Challenge” in Memphis (TN), the most famous competition in the World arriving in the semifinals. Between 2016 and 2017 Dany promoted his music performing at prestigious Blues Festivals all over the world such as the Blues From The Top in Colorado (USA), Dallas International Guitar Festival in Texas (USA), Blues’n Jazz Rallye in Rapperswill (CH), Olsztyn Blues Festival (PL), Augustibluus Festival (ES) and many others. In February 2017 the Texas Blues Legend Anson Funderburgh and Don Ritter of Category5 Amps based in Dallas TX, decided to produced Dany’s third album recording at the world famous Stuart Sullivan’s Wire Recording Studio in Austin, TX with the best Blues musicians in USA. Dany Franchi is one of the biggest and most promising Blues musicians of his generation – His Fender Stratocaster and his talent will make him stand out in the Blues scene, respecting tradition while incessantly finding his original and unique sound.
